Amerikan destekli Pinochet darbesinin ardından devlet tarafından öldürülen Victor Jara, Paris’in öğrenci devrimini anlatan Les Miserables, anarşist Chumbawamba’nın Bella Ciao yorumu, Büyük Buhran’ın yıktığı hayallere ses veren Bing Crosby, savaşın aldığı canları anlatan Pete Seeger, İrlanda’nın Kanlı Pazar’ının resmini çizen U2, işçi sınıfı kahramanlarına seslenen John Lennon, ve rengi yüzünden istenmeyen, ezilen ve öldürülenleri anlatan Miriam Makeba. Buyurun efendim, sizi şarkılarla baş başa bırakıyoruz.

Que partió a la sierra

quedó destrozado
Suenan las sirenas
de vuelta al trabajo
muchos no volvieron
tampoco Manuel

Oynatınca video YouTube’dan yüklenir.
Once in khaki suits, gee, we looked swell
Full of that Yankee Doodly Dum
Half a million boots went slogging through Hell
And I was the kid with the drum.
Say don’t you remember? They called me “Al”
It was “Al” all the time
Why don’t you remember? I’m your pal.
Say buddy, can you spare a dime?
4. Pete Seeger – Where Have All the Flowers Gone?
Where have all the flowers gone, long time passing?
Where have all the flowers gone, long time ago?
Where have all the flowers gone?
Young girls have picked them everyone
Oh, when will they ever learn?
Where have all the young girls gone, long time passing?
Where have all the young girls gone, long time ago?
Where have all the young girls gone?
Gone for husbands everyone
Oh, when will they ever learn?
Where have all the husbands gone, long time passing?
Where have all the husbands gone, long time ago?
Where have all the husbands gone?
Gone for soldiers everyone
Oh, when will they ever learn?
Where have all the soldiers gone, long time passing?
Where have all the soldiers gone, long time ago?
Where have all the soldiers gone?
Gone to graveyards, everyone
Oh, when will they ever learn?
Where have all the graveyards gone, long time passing?
Where have all the graveyards gone, long time ago?
Where have all the graveyards gone?
Gone to flowers, everyone
Oh, when will they ever learn?
3. U2 – Sunday Bloody Sunday
Oynatınca video YouTube’dan yüklenir.
I can’t believe the news today
Oh, I can’t close my eyes
And make it go away
How long, how long must we sing this song
How long, how long…
2. John Lennon – Working Class Hero
They hurt you at home and they hit you at school
They hate you if you’re clever and despise a fool
Till you’re so fucking crazy, you can’t follow their rules
Working class hero is something to be.
1. Miriam Makeba – Soweto Blues
The children got a letter from the master
It said: no more Xhosa, Sotho, no more Zulu.
Refusing to comply they sent an answer,
That’s when the policemen came to the rescue.
Children were flying bullets dying,
The mothers screaming and crying.
The fathers were working in the cities,
The evening news brought out all the publicity:
Just a little atrocity, deep in the city
